Leads That Bloom

A website research brief you can verify

A prospect record should explain why a message is relevant. Keep enough source context for someone else on your team to check that reason.

Begin with the business and source page

Record the prospect’s website and the page you inspected. Read the service, inquiry, or booking information relevant to your offer. The goal is not to produce a long list of supposed problems; it is to find a specific observation that might justify a useful conversation.

Separate observation from interpretation

An observation describes something you can see. An interpretation suggests what it might mean. “The page links to a general contact form” is visible. “Prospects are abandoning the form” needs evidence the public page may not provide. Leads That Bloom keeps observations, inferences, and missing information distinct.

Match the evidence to your actual service

Give Claude the saved findings, screenshots, your services, and writing samples. Check that the suggested opportunity is something you can deliver. If the fit depends on an unknown internal process, ask about that process instead of claiming it is broken.

Keep the brief ready for review

Leads That Bloom keeps research and drafts on the same prospect record. Compare the summary with the original page, make uncertainty visible, and decide whether there is enough evidence for outreach. Weak evidence can be a reason to stop rather than a reason to invent a stronger opening.

Review checklist

  • Prospect and inspected page URL
  • Observed detail and supporting source
  • Relevant service you actually offer
  • Inference and missing information labeled
  • Review decision and next step

Illustrative example

A fictional inquiry-page brief

Observed: Willow Studio’s sample inquiry form has a general message box. Interpretation: a project brief might collect scope earlier. Missing: how inquiries are qualified afterward. Review decision: ask whether the current process works before suggesting a form change. Willow Studio is fictional.

Common questions

Does this research establish conversion performance?

No. A public website observation does not establish conversion rates or lost revenue.

What if I cannot find a relevant opportunity?

Keep the record and missing information, but do not manufacture a reason to pitch. Revisit it when you have useful context.
